Review: Best Non-Alcoholic White Wines of 2025

Lautus Sauvignon Blanc bottle and square bottomed wine glass with non-alcoholic white wine in it.

One thing that we get asked about a lot is whether there are any good non-alcoholic red wines. Only a few short years ago, non-alcoholic wines were nowhere near where they are today especially the red styles. In 2025, we've come a long way from glorified grape juice! Here are our top picks for red wines (some new and some old favourites) we love.

*Note: 'alcohol free wine' or 'zero alcohol wine' means 0.0% alcohol - this article covers non-alcoholic dealcoholized wines that are less than 0.5% alcohol.

The Leitz Eins Zwei Zero Riesling is made at a 200-year old winery in Germany and replicates a good quality off-dry riesling, without too much sweetness and the minerality and petrol notes that are the hallmark of enjoyable rieslings. It’s a great option for seafood or sushi as it has a nice soft acidity that will pair nicely with oily seafood.

    5. Studio Null Gruner Weiss

    Best for: Date night!

    Tasting notes:

This is a light and dry non-alcoholic white from Austrian gruner veltliner and gelber muskateller grapes. Although there isn’t much complexity it’s a nice crisp bottle, and has a low sugar rating at 4g sugar per 5oz glass. It’s a really nice bottle to enjoy with fondue, as they would in Austria.

    6. Lautus Chardonnay

Best for: Soft cheeses, mushrooms, lemony pasta sauce.

    Tasting notes:

Making a non-alcoholic chardonnay that will satisfy the pickiest of former wine lovers is a difficult feat. Lautus is a South African brand and they have done this non-alcoholic chardonnay really well with premium grapes and spinning cone technology. This wine is sumptuous and elegant and a great example of an accomplished drink with personality, character and complexity. It’s a classic example of the style that will be a crowd-pleaser.

    Tasting notes:

Noughty is the OG brand in the non-alcoholic wine space, and all of their products are excellent. The Blanc de Blanc is a delicate but delicious non-alcoholic white made in South Africa on dry land farms from native grapes. It’s got the body of a cool climate chardonnay and the tase is bright and fresh with green apple and peach, and a smooth finish with a hint of minerality.

    8. Pure Vision Chardonnay

Best for: Braised pork with light herbs

    Tasting notes:

This wine is from an organic vineyard in Australia, and you really can tell the difference. There’s just something about Pure Vision’s wines that elevates them above a lot of others in the category and we think it’s the organic viticulture. The Pure Vision Zero Organic Non-alcoholic Chardonnay is well-rounded and nicely balanced with some structure and a pleasant full mouthfeel, with some waxiness which reminds me of French wines. A hint of length at the end but just an echo.

Available in Canada only. Find it at P/S Alcohol Free, Upside Drinks or Dry Variety.

    9. Cognato Chenin Blanc

Best for: Shellfish, mussels cooked in wine

    Tasting notes:

Cognato is made in South Africa (are you seeing a pattern here??) from pure Chenin Blanc, one of the regions most famous native varietals. It’s a mouthwatering mix of lemon curd, green apple and a fresh minerality with a hint of salinity. It’s an off-dry wine, as there is some sweetness but balanced out with a nice bright acidity. It’s a really lovely sip!

Available in Canada only via Clearsips.

    10. St. Regis Selections Sauvignon Blanc

Best for: Turkey and other roasted poultry

Tasting notes: This is a fun and unique non-alcoholic white that has lots of flavour and acidity. It’s a warm climate Sauv Blanc so expect tropical notes that complement roasted meats and other dry roasted dishes.

    FAQs about Non-Alcoholic White Wine

Where can you buy non-alcoholic white wine?

Non-alcoholic red wines are available everywhere. You can start with your local grocery store, which usually has lower-priced options like Carl Jung or VinZero (both terrible na wines) or Fre wines, which taste ok but are sometimes a sweeter option with higher sugar levels. Most premium non-alcoholic wines are accessed through online retailers. You can find where to buy information in all our non-alcoholic red wine reviews and on our Where To Buy Non-Alcoholic pages (here for Canada and here for the U.S.).

Is there a non-alcoholic white wine in a can?

Yes, there are lots of non-alcoholic red wine in single serve cans, mainly sparkling options but it’s actually better than still wine in the canned format. Try Oddbird Blanc De Blanc in the can or Sovi Sparkling for two low sugar options.

Is there a non-alcoholic white wine that tastes like white wine?

Yes, many new alcohol removed white wines taste very similar to their alcoholic counterparts.

Are there any trace amounts of alcohol in non-alcoholic wine?

Yes, alcohol free wine' or 'zero alcohol wine' means 0.0% alcohol but most non-alcoholic wines are between 0.01 and 0.05% ABV. Even alcohol-free wine can be 0.05%, but those are trace amounts basically undetectable. Wine alternatives that are truly alcohol free often taste like grape juice because there is no solvent to hold the flavour.

What is the best way to store non-alcoholic wine?

Keep non-alcoholic wine in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Once it's been opened, keep it in the fridge for 24 hours. Non alcoholic wine oxidizes quickly so it may not taste the same after 24 hours.
