Non-alcoholic wine and beer at Target: An Overview and Our Picks 2024
/Most Americans would find it surprising that they can find great non-alcoholic options on their next Target run. By no means is Target the first major retailer to have non-alcoholic drinks - Walmart has been expanding their selection, and Costco has been dabbling in it as well. Most grocery stores have carried some form of non-alcoholic beer for a decade. What makes Target different from the others is their special partnership with Sechey. Sechey is a non-alcoholic drinks company founded and operating in Charleston, North Carolina. They specialise in premium non-alcoholic wines, non-alcoholic beer, canned mocktails and zero proof spirits. Along with their bricks and mortar location in Charleston, they’ve collaborated with Target stores nationally to provide really good wine and mocktail options that other retailers don’t have.
Target also has a great non-alcoholic beer selection (not from Sechey), so we’re breaking it all down for you. Here is a list of the top finds at Target in the non-alcoholic section, as there really is something for everyone!

Non-alcoholic wine at Target
This category is the most exciting of them all, because it’s almost impossible to find good non-alcoholic wine at your local grocery stores. Sechey has a line of their own non-alcoholic wines including a non-alcoholic pinot noir and a non-alcoholic rose and a non-alcoholic sparkling wine (sparkling Cuvee Blanc).

Sechey Pinot Noir
This is a steal for a non-alcoholic wine under $20. It’s manufactured in Germany from 100% pinot noir grapes, and it’s a fantastic, juicy and slightly tannic non-alcoholic red wine. It’s plummy with a little bit of leather on the nose, with tart cranberry and dark fruit on the palette. The pinot noir style of wine is generally a lot lighter than other styles of red, and the same goes for non-alcoholic pinot noir. The Sechey pinot noir is nice and light and a great option for summer. We recommend serving it slightly chilled for the best experience.

Sechey Rose
This Sechey rose is lovely and fruity with notes of raspberry, rhubarb and a hint of citrus and not overly sweet despite the added sugar (5g). There was a slight sulpherous odour when opened (likely from the preservatives), but if you let it dissipate before pouring it doesn’t affect the liquid. A perfectly light non-alcoholic rose for warmer weather!
Surely: Non-alcoholic wine for the lake, the boat, the pool
Along with the Sechey brand of non-alcoholic wines, you can also find four-packs of canned Surely wines. Surely is a brand of non-alcoholic wine made in California and is a fan-favourite of non-drinkers. On the shelves at Target, you will find a four-pack of their sparkling rose which everyone loves. This is our recommendation for portable, single serve options that you can easily take with you to a bbq, the lake or wherever you might feel you need a quick and handy non-alcoholic wine option.

Ghia
If you saw Ghia on Shark Tank and wanted to try it out, now is the time. Ghia canned mocktails are one of the best and most popular non-alcoholic drinks out there. Their stand-alone ‘aperitif’ product is now a standard on every non-drinkers dry bar. Lucky for Target shoppers, you can find a four pack of both their Lime & Salt spritz and their ginger spritz. The Lime & Salt option is sold out often so grab it while you can!
Mingle Mocktails
Mingle Mocktails, recently invested in by Bethany Frankel, is a great option at Target for anyone who loves margaritas and cosmos. They’ve got lots of flavours in their line-up but Target only carries the two most popular which are the Key Lime Margarita and the Cranberry Cosmopolitan. They are super low-calorie at only 20 calories per serving (2 servings per can), and made with fresh juices and botanicals.
Functional mocktails at Target
The fastest growing category of non-alcoholic drinks is ‘functional’ beverages. This is usually a mocktail format infused with adaptogens and euphorics aimed at helping someone relax, feel less anxious or stressed or sometimes even stay alert. Ashwagandha and reishi are examples. There are two brands of functional mocktails at Target, and goth are great tasting options. If you’re worried about drinking ‘mood altering’ substances, you don’t have to be. There’s such a small amount of active ingredients in each can, you barely notice a change in mood/emotion/physical feeling.
De Soi
De Soi is co-owned and co-founded by Katy Perry and her friend Morgan McLachlan. Their decadent and luscious canned drinks are chock full of flavours and functional ingredients. On the shelf at Target you’ll find their Tres Rose sparkling non-alcoholic aperitif. It’s a sparkling aperitif that tastes a little bit bitter like a spritz, with juicy strawberries to balance it out. It contains lion's mane and saffron to help give you a very very subtle mood-boosting buzz.
Kin Euphorics
Kin Euphorics is another celeb-owned brand with Bella Hadid at the helm. At Target you’ll find their Kin Bloom and their Actual Sunshine products in four-packs. Actual Sunshine is a mouthful of luscious tropical fruits and pineapple. The active ingredients are collagen, vitamin C & D, zinc, saffron and coffeeberry for caffeine. The Kin Bloom is less stimulating but its very tasty strawberry rose-style spritz provides gentle stress relief through L-theanine, schisandra and damiana.
Non-alcoholic beer at Target
Target actually has a truly enormous selection of non-alcoholic beer, both craft beer and big brewery options. Here are our picks for what you can find on the shelf that passes the test for taste and experience.
Big Brewery beers
Blue Moon
Blue Moon’s non-alcoholic beer is newly launched this year, and it’s devastatingly good! If you’re a fan of the original orangey wheat beer, you will absolutely adore the Blue Moon non-alcoholic version. It’s smooth and hefty, with a nice creamy mouthfeel and that signature taste of doughy hops and orange notes. Grab a six pack of this before it’s gone!
Corona 0
Corona 0 is almost a dead ringer for the real thing. Drinking it side by side you can tell which one has alcohol and which one doesn’t, but that’s about it. The Corona ‘sunky’ flavour profile is there along with the crispness of the hoppy finish. This non-alcoholic brew is one of the better ones, and a lot of drinkers and non-drinkers really love it.
Craft Non-Alcoholic Beer at Target
Athletic Brewing Co.
Athletic Brewing non-alcoholic craft beers are everywhere, even at Target! If you haven’t already tried this front runner in the non-alcoholic category, there are a few styles to choose from. Their all-time top sellers are the Run Wild IPA and the Upside Dawn Golden. However, we’re big fans of their cerveza style brew and the Free Wave Hazy IPA more than the more popular styles. Read our review of the Run Wild IPA here. Our review of the Free Wave Hazy IPA is here.
Lagunitas IPNA
This bottled beer was one of the first non-alcoholic IPAs to be manufactured. Fans of the original Lagunitas will love that the non-alcoholic version has the same hop-forward flavour without being too bitter. It’s the perfect amount of flavour and maltiness for a refreshing beer that will pair really well with your summer BBQ.
Best Day Brewing Electro-Lime Cerveza
This non-alcoholic pale lager is slightly salty and has a nice hit of lime to it. It’s not a juicy and bitter craft beer, nor does it have the heft of a Corona, but it’s a nice light option if you’re just nibbling on some nachos and cheese on a patio.
Alongside the above, they have the usual suspects: Stella Artois non-alcoholic, Heineken 0.0, Guinness 0.0 and more.
Cheers and we’d love to hear in the comments below if you’ve tried any of the non-alcoholic drinks at Target.
