Easy Mocktail Recipe for Easter Brunch

Whether you’re hosting a crowd or keeping it low key, these simple non-alcoholic recipes will add an elevated touch to your Easter Brunch. And since they are all alcohol free, you’ll have plenty of energy left for the rest of the day!

Fruity flavours pair perfectly with brunch

  1. The Non-Alcoholic Greyhound

An early meal calls for flavours that are bright, fruity and refreshing. The Greyhound is a classic cocktail with two (and optionally three) ingredients combining non-alcoholic gin with the refreshing bite of grapefruit juice. Simply combine 2-3 ounces of your favourite alcohol-free gin with a glass of fresh ruby red grapefruit juice. It’s slightly bitter so we used Tanqueray 0.0 as it’s slightly sweeter than other n/a gins. If you prefer a sweeter sip and don’t have this specific n/a gin, you could add a dash of simple syrup, maple syrup or sugar-free sweetener like liquid stevia or monkfruit, and you’re done!

2. Non-alcoholic Strawberry Gin Smash

Berries are a beautiful way to hint at summer days to come, and work wonderfully with breakfast foods. And our Strawberry Smash couldn’t be easier and can be made in the glass you’re serving or drinking it in. Muddle ripe berries in the bottom of a glass, top with a couple ounces alcohol free gin, some club soba and a touch of simple syrup, and voila - summer in a glass!

3. Non-alcoholic White Wine Spritzer

The wine spritzer is a classic, and always will be partly due to how easy it is to pull it together. It works particularly well with non-alcoholic wine. This non-alcoholic wine spritzer recipe is called A Fresh Bite because it’s juicy, bitter and tangy all at once. We chose to use St. Regis for this recipe for both the crowd-pleasing taste, but also the availability and the price tag!

4. Make your own non-alcoholic mimosa…with Kiwi!

We can’t talk about brunch without acknowledging the ubiquitous mimosa. Popular for good reason, this bruch favourite translates really well into a zero-alcohol drink because of the great options for non-alcoholic sparkling wine. It’s as simple as it is sumptuous. Strictly speaking, the mimosa combines roughly equal parts sparkling wine and orange juice, but the variations are endless. Change the ratio of non-alcoholic sparkling wine to juice to suit your taste, or substitute orange juice for watermelon, lemonade, pomegranate, berry juice or for a unique twist, muddled kiwi!

Easy beginners hack: mix OJ with Canada Dry ginger ale or ginger beer for a simple mocktail from easy to find, grocery store ingredients. If you’re hosting a spring or Easter brunch, set up a zero-proof mimosa station with creative options and let your guests mix to their heart’s content!

5. Savoury does it

Two spicy Caesar mocktaisls sit on a white countertop atop a cork coaster. The drinks are garnished with leafy celery stalks and surrounded by a selection of Tabasco hot sauce bottles.

A most robust brunch feast may call for something a little heartier to pair it with - enter the Caesar. This famed Canadian cocktail works just as well in it’s non-alcoholic form, thanks to the unique flavour of tomato-clam juice (if you haven’t tried it, just trust us!) and spicy kick of hot sauce. A game-changer is also False Ox Jalapeno Celery shrub. Non-alcoholic vodka from Arkay is the only suitable non-alcoholic vodka to add to a Caesar and it rounds out this substantial sip.
