Wednesday Addams Non Alcoholic Aperitif Cocktail

This dark and bitter non alcoholic cocktail is an elevated adult drink worthy of our favourite dark and macabre heroines

Non alcoholic aperitifs like Ghia create sophisticated drinks

This bitter, but slightly juicy non alcoholic cocktail uses award-winning Ghia bitter aperitif as a base to elevate a very macabre drink. But you can use any type of non alcoholic aperitif as there are a lot on the market now. Amaros and aperitifs are some of the stars of the No/Low category because of the complexity in flavours they bring to the table. In the boozy world, each and every amaro has a different flavour profile which has translated into the non alcoholic world. Ghia is one of several great amaros. For a Canadian option, we love KickAss89 (read our review here).

Ghia is a made in the U.S. amaro brand that has already won accolades from publications across the country for its ability to replicate a boozy aperitif. Combined with its elegant branding, Ghia has become a fan-favourite. It’s a perfect option for this sophisticated cocktail.

The trick to this recipe is getting the exact balance right or else the Ghia or the orange flavour overpowers the cocktail.

Non Alcoholic Triple Sec

This recipe calls for non alcoholic triple sec, but if you don’t have that you can use Orange Blossom Water (available at any grocery store with a Middle Eastern section or on Amazon here). If you really can’t get your hands on this, you can use a 1/8 tsp of Orange Oil but use it sparingly as it’s a pungent flavour.
