Non Alcoholic Harvest Sparkling Punch With Spiced Rum

A RUM PUNCH USING NON ALCOHOLIC SPICED RUM TO SPICE THINGS UP

Sparkling Non Alcoholic Punch.JPG

No-one can resist the smell of cinnamon or the anticipation of a tangy punch. It’s a party-starter for everyone from young to old, and perfect for making something that can be adapted from no-alcohol to low-alcohol.

Non Alcoholic Rum Is The Secret

This alcohol-free punch gets it’s kick from a non alcoholic rum style product. There are lots of non alcoholic rums available in Canada including Lyre’s Spiced Rum, HP Spiced Rum (made in Montreal) and Undone Not Rum.

Using Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Wine In An Alcohol-free Punch

1 cup Non Alcoholic Spiced Rum (Lyres Spiced Cane, HP Spiced Cane)

1/2 cup undiluted cranberry juice

3 cups apple cider

1 bottle Noughty Sparkling Chardonnay or St Regis Brut

4 6” cinnamon sticks

1/3 bag of fresh cranberries

1 small apple sliced thinly

Make sure the juices and sparkling wine are chilled before starting. Melting ice dilutes the taste of punch, so a suggestion is to keep the punch bowl on a bed of ice to keep it chilled while serving. Ice cubes can be added to each glass as the punch is being served.

Mix the first three ingredients in a punch bowl and stir to combine. Slowly add the bottle of sparkling wine and top with cinnamon sticks, cranberries and sliced apple.

Note: If you are making this punch ahead of time, wait until just before serving to add the sparkling wine and the garnish.
