3 bottles, 5 recipes: Thanksgiving wine cocktail recipes, but make it non-alcoholic

Entertaining made inclusive and easy

Thanksgiving is here for Canadians, and it’s easier than ever to be inclusive when you’re hosting. When it comes to the drink options you’re serving, creating thoughtful elevated non-alcoholic options and mocktails sets the stage for anyone who might want to bypass the booze!

To prove how easy it is to create mouthwatering mocktails on a budget, suitable for entertaining, we challenged ourselves to make five easy wine cocktail recipes with only three bottles of St. Regis non-alcoholic wine plus seasonal ingredients.

We chose St. Regis non-alcoholic wine for this experiment because it’s accessible and easy to find on the shelf at your local grocery store, and at a wallet-friendly price point.

So let’s get mixing - for this challenge you’ll need two bottles of St. Regis Chardonnay, 3 bottles St. Regis Secco and 1 bottle of St. Regis Cabernet Sauvignon.

1. Autumn Apple Spritz Mocktail

Because who doesn’t love the combo of crisp apples and lemons! Chardonnay usually always has green apple and lemon notes, so this is a match made in fall heaven. You could also pre-make the base in a pitcher for easy pour-and-serve.

St Regis Secco sits next to a tall glass with a wine cocktail containing non-alcoholic chardonnay, apple cider, bitters and lemon juice, topped with dealcoholized prosecco.

Ingredients (Serves 1):

2 oz St. Regis Chardonnay
1 oz apple cider
½ oz lemon juice
A few dashes of Aromatic Bitters (alcohol-free or regular)
One bottle of St. Regis Dealcoholized Secco
Apple slices and rosemary sprigs for garnish

Preparation:

  1. In a tall Collins or highball glass, mix chardonnay, apple cider, lemon juice, and honey until well combined.

  2. Add ice, and top off with a little bit of Secco for a spritz effect.

  3. Garnish with apple slices and a sprig of rosemary.

2. White Harvest Sparkling Non-Alcoholic Punch

Serving a crowd? This fresh but savoury fall punch is a great way to integrate seasonal flavours and keep everyone hydrated!

Ingredients (Serves 8):

1 bottle St. Regis Chardonnay
1 cup pear juice or nectar
2 cups low-sugar ginger ale
1 tbsp finely grated fresh ginger (optional)
Juice from half a lemon
Fresh pear slices for garnish
Cinnamon sticks for garnish

Preparation:

  1. In a large pitcher, combine chardonnay, pear juice, fresh ginger, lemon juice, and simple syrup.

  2. Stir well and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill and allow flavours to meld.

  3. Serve over ice and garnish with pear slices and cinnamon sticks.

3. Pomegranate Prosecco Sparkler

Pomegranate is a perfect match with turkey and with St. Regis Secco, so this is an elegant no brainer for Thanksgiving and beyond!

Ingredients (serves 1):

1 oz pomegranate juice
¼ oz elderflower syrup
¼ oz lime juice
1 mint leaf
2 oz St. Regis Secco
Pomegranate seeds for garnish
Fresh mint for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Shake the first four ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice until chilled.

  2. Strain into a champagne flute and top off with chilled St. Regis Secco.

  3. Garnish with a few pomegranate seeds and a sprig of mint.

4. Thanksgiving Secco Punch

This punch is so easy to make, but hard to forget. Cranberries are a perfect seasonal flavour, and the pretty punch bowl will be the centrepiece of your gathering.

Ingredients (Serves 6-8):

1 bottle St. Regis Dealoholized Secco
2 cups cranberry juice
1/2 cup orange juice
¼ cup regular or non-alcoholic Italian aperitif
Orange slices and fresh cranberries for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a punch bowl or large pitcher, mix cranberry juice, orange juice, and the non-alcoholic aperitif.

  2. Add chilled St. Regis Dealcoholized Secco and gently stir to combine.

  3. Garnish with orange slices and fresh cranberries.

  4. Serve in punch glasses or over ice.

5. Non-Alcoholic Red Wine Spritz

Everyone loves a good spritz, but an uncommon variation is using red wine instead of aperol or white wine. This simple recipe utilizes the flavours of non-alcoholic wine for a refreshing wine cocktail mocktail. This is a great option to serve if you have company coming and need to stretch a bottle of non-alcoholic red, as it will make at least 6-7 drinks.

Ingredients (per mocktail):

1 oz orange-flavoured sparkling water
2 oz St. Regis Cabernet Sauvignon
2 oz St. Regis Secco

Preparation:

Prepare your glassware by filling with ice. To each glass, add 2 oz St. Regis Cabernet Sauvignon, followed by 3 oz St. Regis Secco and top with 1 oz of sparkling water. Garnish with an orange slice and serve.

Happy Thanksgiving and please let us know below if you tried any of these recipes and what you thought of them!
