Dry July Day 4 - It's Wine O'Clock...For Real!
/Day 4 is here! Exploration is fun but sometimes you want a familiar favourite. We’ve got you covered!
What To Drink When You’re Not Drinking? Well, wine of course!
Dry July Success Tip: Swap Like with Like
Exploration and experimentation are awesome, but replacing like with [almost] like can make the transition to lower alcohol consumption easier. Love that glass of wine - we do too! Check out the multitude of non alcoholic and alcohol-free options on the market. The nice thing about finding a good non alcoholic wine is you’re keeping your regular ritual the same – the favourite wine glass and your favourite binge-worthy show - and sometimes that’s all your mind needs. The look, feel, smell and taste will be familiar and similar.
**One thing to note is that some people prefer to stay away from dupes of the real thing because it’s triggering, and if that’s you, please ignore our advice and stick to sparkling water!
Sometimes a small tweak to our mind’s pathways is all that’s needed! - Helena Barkla, Some Good Clean Fun Marketing Assistant
Non alcoholic wine has come a really long way and premium bottles are nothing like what you’ll find in the grocery store. There are wineries and winemakers that are serious about helping non drinkers have the same experience they’ve come to expect from a regular glass of wine - but without the terrible side effects. They use technology and innovation to create some amazing products. It’s a whole new world just waiting for you!
Our non alcoholic wine recommendation of the week is a Napa Valley alcohol-removed Chardonnay. If you loved those buttery California Chards and are missing a glass of that, you’ll enjoy the nose on the 2018 Luminara alcohol-removed Chardonnay. It’s a perfect wine for spicy Saturday night take-out!
