A French 75 With Non Alcoholic Gin
/It’s time to toast that special someone, or ring in the new year, but you're sober curious. What’s a girl to do? A French 75 is one of the most classic celebratory cocktails of all time. Fortunately, both gin and sparkling wine are two of the best categories in non alcoholic drinks. And you can make this cocktail either low-alcohol or no-alcohol depending on what you substitute!
We’re using Fluere non alcoholic gin because it has a cool French name. It’s actually made in the Netherlands and is an excellent, premium zero proof spirit that tastes like a clean and dry London gin.
It’s one of our favourites and easy to get via Amazon too.
You need a cocktail shaker and strainer to make this (here is the one our team uses). You can also buy simple syrup or make your own:
Add 1 cup sugar to 1 cup of water, stir over medium heat until dissolved, remove from heat and let it cool. Don’t burn your finger trying to dip it in and taste the syrup - not worth it!
Difficulty: Intermediate
Ingredients:
2 oz non alcoholic gin
1 tbsp simple syrup
Juice from half a lemon
3 oz sparkling wine (approx)
Preparation:
Add the first three ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with clean ice, shake until chilled about 8-10 seconds. Strain into a flute or a coupe glass, and top with sparkling wine. Et voila!
