Reviewing the Divine Bolle Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Rose

The Bolle Sparkling Rosé is a classic non-alcoholic sparkling rose that was awarded 93 points from Wine Enthusiast - one of the highest ever awarded an n/a wine by a traditional wine professional. Let’s break down why this bubbly is sweeping the category.

I absolutely adore the Bolle Sparkling Blanc and it’s at the top of my best non-alcoholic sparkling wines list - I highly suggest you read my review of that style to get a better background on Bolle. The founders of Bolle have done some pretty amazing things in the area of innovation and dealcoholization and the result is a product line of very high-quality, elegant and truly premium non-alcoholic estate wines.

Through the age-old technique of secondary fermentation, Bolle was able to coax out secondary and tertiary flavours from the dealcoholized wine. To do that they needed to develop their own low-alcohol yeast which produces minimal amounts of alcohol in the secondary fermentation process. Together, these amount to a breakthrough in production technique for dealcoholization and have raised the bar enormously.

This review is taking a look at the Bolle sparkling rosé which was released in 2025 alongside the blanc de blanc.

As a quick primer about rosé wines, Provence is the historic home of rosé wine. It’s traditionally made with red wine grapes and skin contact with the juice (as opposed to orange wine which is made with white wine grapes and extended skin contact). The Bolle Sparkling Rosé is made in France with pinot noir and chardonnay grapes.

Aroma

Bollé sparkling rosé has a great aroma - yeasty baked goods and a hint of violet. Really lovely!

Taste

The greatest thing about the Bolle sparkling rosé is that it’s not sweet but has a lot of flavour. There are notes of red currant, brioche and a hint of Scandinavian berry, familiar to me because my Finnish grandmother’s cooking. A fresh bright acidity balances out the fruit and finishes with a crisp pop of yuzu.

Mouthfeel and Experience

This is where the Bolle sparkling rosé really shines. The body and mouthfeel are just perfect, with enough weight to be satisfying but not cloyingly thick. The mousse is light and delicate and the bubbles last and last all the way to the bottom of the glass.

Overall

A great example of how to make non-alcoholic sparkling rosé without killing us with sugar and fake flavours. I love this option for a spring or summer celebration as it’s elegant and elevated enough for even non-drinkers to appreciate.
