Beach Party: ISH Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Rose Review

ISH Spirits has been around for a long time, and their tequila alternative is one of the absolute best out there, as is their canned G&T option. Their non-alcoholic wines are growing in popularity so it’s time to do a proper review!
ISH Sparkling Rose is a mediocre bottle of sparkling, with very little to differentiate it from many other non-alcoholic sparkling roses. However, it’s quite refreshing and has a nice flavour so I won’t pull too many punches. Sometimes being a mediocre, well-priced option is a good thing - although pricing seems to depend on where you buy it.
A little bit of background on ISH. ISH was founded in Denmark in 2020 with the principle of that Danish ‘hygge’ as it’s foundation, connecting and socializing without alcohol, having those great conversations and enjoying the warmth of each other’s company. I only remember this because I’ve been around for so long. Their updated branding has lost some of that messaging, but they have so many other appealing aspects. They use all natural ingredients, they have a responsible supply chain and their corporate mission is to enable a healthier world.
ISH Sparkling Rose Review
ISH Sparkling Rose is a light sparkling rose, with very little complexity but a nice refreshing flavour. The wine pours an orangey-pink peach, showing its blend of merlot and pinot noir grapes.
Aroma
On the nose, it’s slightly floral with a hint of young grape, orange blossom and citrus.
Taste
It’s got a medium flavour profile with notes of strawberry, strawberry jam and orchard fruit. A little bit of plum or overdried grapes (not that pleasant). It’s quite juicy but balanced out with an unexpected light acidity.
Mouthfeel
The bubbles in this non-alcoholic wine are really playful and fun. Elegant and lightweight on your tongue.
Where and when to drink ISH Sparkling Rose
A nice light option for summer. It’s a great bottle to bring to the beach or the lake, as it’s nice and crisp and refreshing. Keep it in the cooler all day and you’ve got something fun to sip on!
Overall thoughts
As mentioned, this is a mediocre sparkling rose with only enough complexity to make it drinkable. It’s got a really nice flavour though, and the refreshing aspect of it makes it fun to drink along with the playful bubbles. I wish there was a little less juice and a little more body, which would make this a little more elevated.

We gave the Saint Viviana Cabernet Sauvignon 97 points because it’s an excellent drink with great personality and stands out in the category. An excellent non-alcoholic wine.
