Best Non Alcoholic Wines For Thanksgiving 2024

If you celebrate Thanksgiving on either side of the border, you might be looking forward to a table of savoury comfort foods and the post-dinner food coma. Having wine with that heavy dinner might be a tradition, but believe it or not, swapping your regular wine for these premium non alcoholic options will have you feeling less tired, and your guests happily sipping away whether they drink or not. Here is our round-up for some great non-alcoholic food wines to elevate your inclusive table.

Non Alcoholic Wine That Goes With Turkey

Red

Zeronimo Leonis Blend

This is the premiere non-alcoholic red wine in the world, and although it’s expensive, it’s worth every single drop. It’s produced in Austria at a renowned winery from a 97-point wine, using advanced dealcoholization techniques that retain the beautiful structure and acidity of the original liquid. The blend is 60% Blaufränkisch which has a great body and tannins to complement roast meat.

Available in the U.S. through Zeronimo website. Available in Europe through Heribert Bayer.

Available in Canada through the Sobr Market.

Leitz Zero Point Five Pinot Noir

This is a standard “classic” in the non-alcoholic wine world, and although it’s not my favourite most of the time, the juicy ‘amarone’ feeling to this bottle is truly a perfect match with dry turkey and the savoury flavours of the side dishes. It isn’t very dry or tannic, so don’t expect that, but it’s also not sweet and it does have a nice flavour profile.

White

Cognato Chenin Blanc

Traditionally, a riesling is recommended as the best white pairing for turkey and fixings, but wine experts would also recommend chenin blanc as a smart pick. This non-alcoholic wine from South Africa is an excellent non-alcoholic food wine, and it’s hint of salinity and off-dry taste will be such a nice pairing with the drier turkey meat, and the savoury sides.

Available in the U.S. through Upside Drinks, in Europe here and in Canada at most non-alcoholic retailers.

Wander + Found Cuvee Blanc

If turkey and stuffing is not in your plans this year, you might consider pairing your dishes with a blend like this Cuvee Blanc (the term cuvee means a blend of white grapes). This is one perfect specimen priced well below it’s value, and will be lovely with your savoury table. The Cuvee Blanc from Wander + Found is made with a blend of predominantly Chardonnay in a well balanced sip. It has a perfect texture, and a fresh crisp taste that will pair well with any dish on your table.

Available in the U.S. through Better Rhodes and in Canada through P/S Alcohol Free.

Sparkling

Pure Vision Sparkling White

Pure Vision Sparkling White is produced in Australia from 100% Chardonnay grapes. It’s light and crisp and it’s tart green apple notes will help cut through those mashed potatoes or roasted brussel sprouts. It’s also a great non-alcoholic sparkling wine to pair with hors d’oeuvres.

Available in Canada & Australia only.
