Best Low-Sugar Non-Alcoholic Wine for 2025

One of the biggest complaints I hear about non-alcoholic wine? “It’s just full of sugar.” And honestly, they’re not wrong.

When you remove the alcohol from wine, you also strip out a lot of flavor, body, and texture which means many non-alcoholic winemakers add sugar back in to compensate. Sugar boosts the mouthfeel and gives a fuller impression. But the trade-off is some bottles end up sweeter than soda, and many people don’t even realize it.

If you’re like me, and trying to feel better, sleep better and cut back on both alcohol and sugar, it’s time to find a better solution.

The good news? Low sugar non-alcoholic wine actually exists — and some of it tastes really, really good. I’ve tasted dozens of bottles (so you don’t have to), and the ones below are my go-to recommendations for when you want a wine experience without the hangover or the sugar spike.

You’ll find everything from dry sparkling wines to low-carb reds all with under 5g of sugar per glass and some with none at all. They are all delicious, well-crafted non-alcoholic wines made by producers who care about what goes into the bottle and into our bodies.

So if you’ve been hunting for non alcoholic wine without sugar, or a low carb wine alternative that still scratches the wine itch… this list is for you!
