#3 Sober Powered

If you like science - this is for you! Whether you relate to the word sober or not, one of the first steps in rethinking drinking is understanding some of the neuroscience that is going on in your brain (before it’s too late). Sober Powered by Gill Tietz has some great episodes that you can digest in 15 minutes, breaking down the chemical, psychological and emotional impacts of alcohol on your body and brain.

Our girl Mel covers everything we’ve ever thought about as she heals out loud, including alcohol overuse and quitting drinking. She has several episodes about the effects of alcohol on your health and wellness, and what happens to your body when you quit alcohol. In this episode, she speaks with Dr Sarah Wakeman, Harvard professor and specialist in substance use disorder. It’s a great listen!
