Sláinte! Three Non-Alcoholic stouts to celebrate St. Patty
/Few things are more quintessentially Irish than a creamy, smooth stout. And few days are more perfect for enjoying a pint than St. Patrick’s Day? Does living alcohol free mean we can no longer participate in this annual ritual? Not at all - with these three bold non-alcoholic brews. Here are our top picks for a St. Patty’s pint..without the hangover!
Street Legal Nitro Stout
The team at AFBev.ca say that “this is the closest thing Canadians have to a Guinness right now”. Street Legal offers a Nitro Stout that delivers on the velvety richness you would expect from a traditional stout. Reviewer Antoine Tedesco says this stout “captures the spirit of the style nicely with notes of dark chocolate throughout”. Their nitro-injection emulates the traditional Guinness nitro-infused brew so it’s no wonder many Canadians love this non-alcoholic option!
Libra Stout
Canadian brand Libra is known for consistently delivering high quality quaffs and their Stout is no exception. Though not quite as thick as a traditional stout, the deep colour and rich flavours hit just the right notes. It’s very chocolatey, so if that’s your jam, this stout is for you!

Le Bockale Trou Noir Stout
From one of Canada’s first non-alcoholic craft breweries, Le Bockale’s Trou Noir Stout satisfies, with hints of chocolate, coffee and toasted grains. When you pop open their cans, it has the same nitro-pop that traditional Guinness has which adds to the experience of having a stout.

Honourable Mention - Gruvi Stout
Gruvi’s Stout is a fan-fave amongst n/a beer lovers. It offers aromas of molasses and coffee with a formidable malty base. It’s not quite a traditional stout, but it’s dark lager style is enjoyable to drink.
